Other Networks
Industry Specific Networks – Research, Medical, Legal, Financial, Manufacturing, etc. - Specialty Networks available include: Internet 2, I-light, Research Networks Starlight/Abilene, Lexus/Nexus, General Motors Research, Banking and Credit Card Processing, Credit Checking, Medical Networks, PACS, etc.
Inter-company Connectivity (HQ to Division, Regional, or Branch locations) - Broadband connections available to interconnect company locations for Interactive Traffic, Data Transfer, Back-ups, IP Telephony or Network consolidation/convergence. Connections can be all fiber, combined with services from Local Exchange Companies, or wireless depending on needs.
SANs – Storage Area Network for off-site storage of Business Mission Critical Data - Data Storage Area Network solutions for off-site storage Mission Critical Data be it Production, Test/Development, Back-up Copies, or for Disaster Recovery purposes. SANs solutions include Cisco, and EMC, or other alternatives in either dedicated or shared environments.
Connectivity to National and International Fiber Networks - We can provide connectivity to a wide variety of networks both National as well as International Networks. Our partnership with various Carriers allows us to provide network cross-connectivity and accessibility to almost any location in the world.
Network Redundancy End-to End - GAP has designed redundancy into our own Network - Alternate fibers and physical paths, redundant electronics, alternate entrance facilities, multiple carriers, etc. We have also designed redundancy into our connections to other Networks and provide connectivity and redundancy alternatives to our Customers sites as needed. These include single or multiple fiber connections, copper connections from Local Exchanges, or wireless depending on the needs and requirements of the Customer.
Scalability - Network capacity is driven by the needs of the Customer and in most cases is available in 1 Meg. Increments up to 1 Gig. Many Customers find their initial capacity needs are limited and may not require the additional expense of installing Fiber into their facilities. These Customers may start with a wireless connection to our Network. As growth and capacity needs increases they may find they can justify installation of copper and/or fiber and retain their initial investment in wireless as a redundant or back-up connection. The scalability of their local connection along with the scalability of their bandwidth usage allows them the flexibility to grow their capacity and yet retain their initial investment.
